Lisa Goodwin is an attorney specializing in environmental law. Her practice includes assisting clients with environmental regulatory and compliance matters, as well as evaluating environmental assessments of property, assisting with due diligence investigations and advising clients on potential environmental risks and mitigation.
Relevant Experience:
- Conducted numerous multimedia environmental compliance audits and environmental assessments for major manufacturing clients.
- Conducted environmental compliance and due diligence for numerous business and real estate transactions.
- Assisted numerous clients with their participation in Virginia's Voluntary Remediation Program.
- Provided advice to corporations and municipalities on compliance issues arising under the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, CERCLA, RCRA, EPCRA, NEPA and the Oil Pollution Act.
- Assisted in representation of client in Superfund Litigation, which ultimately led to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals reversing a liability determination and relieving the client of all liability at the Site.
- Participated in numerous Superfund negotiations involving allocation of costs among parties, as well as negotiations between private parties and the U.S. EPA.
